@moopenton: A little update on how I’ve been getting on with Polly, my prosthetic, and amputation life in general. 🦿❤️ Having an amputation is scary. It’s a massive change and a completely new way of living, but it is not a death sentence. With the right support, patience and mindset, you really can find your way through it. Reach out when you need help, accept the support around you and don’t be afraid to talk to someone or go to therapy if you need it. You’re going to have good days, bad days and plenty of setbacks along the way and that’s OK. They’re part of the journey, not a sign that you’re failing. Most importantly, everyone’s journey is different, so please don’t compare your progress to anyone else’s. Go at your own pace, celebrate the little wins and remember just how far you’ve already come.
