English teacher here! I don’t love her lyrics. Her advanced vocabulary often feels forced and unnatural, and sometimes she uses words in ways that don’t quite fit their meaning or context. Bigger words don’t automatically make writing more sophisticated.

She thinks the only people who criticize her are dumber than her and if only they were smarter they would realize she’s actually brilliant. The thing is, maybe as a kid she was a great writer for her age but as an adult that isn’t the case. There are plenty of independent and smaller artists who do everything from writing and producing their own music who are far better writers. Even if we just look at Slayyyter’s brand new Chanel’s, this song is a far smarter pop song than anything I’ve heard TS drop in a while.
