Only ppl being haunted by the entity can see it. The only time you can see the entity is when it is possessing someone when they are smiling

I doubt it because there are multiple scenes in both movies where children are present alongside the entity and none of them notice it. He doesn’t really look freaked out but more concerned which makes sense since his crazy aunt just gifted him a cat and now she’s in the car outside screaming at the air.

maybe because children and older people are more susceptible to see what we can't. especially when he was just traumatized and in a sensitive state. that's what I was thinking when I first noticed
