There’s multiple studies that show that it does absolutely nothing for reducing concussions like pitman said yes it lessens soft impacts but any hit that would give you a concussion will still give you one there’s even another study stating that there were more injuries on the highschool level bc it gave kids a false sense of security to make more aggressive tackles
