@bazm_e_zia: Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (1948–1997) was a world-renowned Pakistani musician, widely considered one of the greatest singers ever recorded. He was the continuous torchbearer of a 600-year-old family tradition of Qawwali—the devotional music of the Sufis (mystics of Islam). ​Affectionately known as Shahenshah-e-Qawwali (The King of Kings of Qawwali), he possessed an extraordinary vocal range, incredible stamina, and a unique ability to improvise at dizzying speeds.
