Dolly’s foundation provided free books to my children when they were little until the age of 5. We loved reading those books and were grateful to her foundation for providing them. She really did care for her community.

I was at the gym, on the treadmill when my daughter texted to tell me that Ms. Dolly had died. I had to turn the treadmill off and fast walk to the bathroom, cause I started crying. I don't get emotional about celebrities too often, but Ms. Dolly was such a light in this world, and a personal hero on account of how she carried herself with such humor and grace. The world is a little dimmer now that she's gone
