If you’re going to Warwick they will send out a calendar of society run events that you can go to!! I went to sm in freshers and it was so fun and I’m not helping to run a lot of the events for my society 💗

Get your bearing with your new city, sort out food shop, gym membership and whatever else. And spend time with your flatmates - your stuck with them for a year so your best iff making friends with them

At Warwick there’s a freshers fair, two societies fairs because they can’t fit them in on one day and a sports fair and sports day (both on different days). They also have lots of random bits and bobs happening everywhere, lots of societies have events on to meet people, and your academic department will have induction sessions

go for a walk, try cook something, go to society welcome events, you might have into lectures to your courses, I got really ill in my fresher's week lol so I'm doing take 2 this year. I'm also signed up to volunteer for the students assoc to help welcome you guys

i had so many induction lectures that all said the same thing it was so pointless, just get to know people, sort your room out, explore campus/ the city. prioritise making friends

Fresher's fair depends on your uni. My last one did 2 days of fresher's fair. Mostly just use it to settle in, meet people, find your way around your uni, explore the city, etc

Mine has a bunch of events like get to know eachother, pub quizzes, cafe crawl, paint and sip, pottery painting, axe throwing and then a few seminars we have to go to

get to know ur flatmates! and usually there’s more than one fair - society and sports are split, some people have course related events too

Look up where all the free stuff is being given away. And also you scout the campus so you know where all your lessons will be, especially if you have a back to back set of lectures. One year I had to get from one end of campus to the other within 10 minutes. Getting lost was not an option.
