My mom was restless and agitated a day before she passed away so we gave her some lorazepam. Later that night she transitioned and eventually passed away the next morning after hearing my older brother’s voice 😞 She was waiting on my older brother to come home since he lived abroad but after the ft call with my older brother not even 10 mins later she passed away 🥹

can you post signs of late stage alzheimer's my dad is on hospice I believe he has terminal agitation. he also has a bad heart. I guess I am trying to figure things out.

My dad is doing this tonight…..wanting to take his clothes off…..taking blankets off…..wants to get out of bed 😫🙏🏽

I lost my husband on the sixth and I feel like Hospice robbed me one last peaceful night with my husband. I called all night long asking for help because he was out of control and I had no idea what was happening. They just kept telling me they’d give them more Haldol when they came over the next day he was in severe severe severe agitation eyes rolled back in his head ripping things off walls, pinching me push pushing me and ungodly amount of waste coming out of him ripping diapers off where did the waist come from when he hadn’t had any liquid nutrition in his feeding due for over a month and was barely getting 6 to 8 ounces of water a day. It was horrific. I cannot get it out of my head and I am so angry with Hospice.

Thank you so much for all of your educational videos on end of life. Unfortunately my dad is suffering from terminal pancreatic cancer that’s spread to his liver and colon. He’s constantly agitated now and he’s so restless that he can’t sleep. 😭

Taking care of my granny on hospice in my home right now and we are in this stage. Very difficult and she has become very mean and paranoid and anxious.

It was really really distressing, she was crying out like in pain. Her eyes were open but not there, no speaking. I wish they would have told me. The last 4 days were horrendous

My MIL did that in her final days. She kept trying to tear her clothes off and she had cirrhosis like you mentioned.

My mom did that before passing she wanted to take her clothes off and her breathing mask and was making arm gestures

My mother in law is in memory care , she had a bad fall last week , hip fractures, but not displaced , weight bearing, but I think she is shutting down, I think we can get her back to her memory care facility if she is on hospice, but she’s very unresponsive, agitated, I am thinking she is so where in the 7 stages , very few words now , 💜

95 year old Mom did this months ago on hospice had a more severe agitation episode Friday 😬immediately contacted hospice and got her some Ativan which calmed her down. 🙏🏻

My mom just passed on Sept 17 and she was doing exactly this. The Nurse Practitioner gave her Nozinan to calm her done and it worked she died 4 hrs later

I gave Lorazepam in that situation and it helped a lot. He had fallen down that morning and wanted to get out of bed that night (Monday). He passes away that Wednesday 💔
