The story of Gog and Magog is of Jewish origin. It tells of a strange and monstrous people, still imprisoned between two mountains, who will emerge at the end of time. The story speaks of both the past and the future. Starting with the past, their first mention is in the Torah, where they are described as the descendants of Japheth, son of Noah. Their queen was named Gog, and they were the people of Gog, meaning Gog was their leader. However, in Islamic tradition, there are two nations of Gog and Magog. A likely location for them, according to Abrahamic traditions, is Central Asia, specifically west and east of Uzbekistan. This may refer to the Uzbek and Mongolian peoples, and some traditions even hint at their presence in China. The height of these Gog and Magog peoples ranges between that of dwarfs and giants. In some scenes of the narrative, they appear as small dwarfs, while in others, they are enormous giants. Perhaps these giants were their leaders, and the dwarfs... They are the common people and armies in general of these nations... their faces are deformed and they eat humans. This is the image mentioned by monotheistic religions. The second step in the narrative (says that Dhul-Qarnayn) came and saved the peoples of Asia from them. Even the narratives of Alexander the Great called them Gog and Magog, as mentioned in the narrative. When Dhul-Qarnayn reached them and the peoples moved to areas near them, the peoples complained about them and asked him to remove them. So Alexander built an iron dam between two mountains for these millions, heated it with fire, coated it with copper and pitch, and brought them and imprisoned them. These nations, Gog and Magog, were settled between two mountains. There is an area that narratives always call (a dam), and he ended their evil from these peoples. They tried more than once to break free, but they could not, and they were affected and got their food there...?! Among the Islamic narratives, it is said that ( One of the Abbasid caliphs heard about them and sent a group of fighters, led by a commander, to investigate.
