tbh i used to think sharing your location in a relationship was completely normal but i don’t anymore, i’ve seen firsthand how something that starts harmlessly can turn into constant tracking, obsession and eventually control. Someone very close to me shared her location with her partner, and over time he became so obsessed with monitoring her that he eventually hacked her social media, read our private conversations, voice messages, and even saw private pictures of me that I had only shared with her (iam a hijabi). It completely invaded my privacy and even ruined our friendship. So personally, I don’t think constant location sharing should be seen as a requirement for trust. Boundaries and trust matter more than being able to monitor someone 24/7. ❤️

We share locations because we don’t have anything to hide… my husband knows where I am and I know where he is. Point blank period. If he doesn’t want to then he has something to hide.

I never asked my husband to share his location when we used to date nor did he. I never cared for that stuff but after marriage HE asked me to start sharing each other's locations out of just knowing where u are and what u doing and I didn't mind but I dont find it mandatory?

We started sharing location at like 2 weeks of dating 🤷🏼♀️I think is a good thing for safety, he actually never even looks at my location but it has helped when I need him to get me and idk the exact address where I’m at so all good

Wtf is sharing locations?! Why would i need to track someone for every single minute ?! Where is the space for our trust to thrive?! the point of trusting someone and loving them and being with them is knowing even if u cannot see that this person loves you and would never hurt you! Sharing locations is a REAL trust issue but sugarcoated and that’s coming from someone in a 3 years long distance relationship and now married to the same guy 🙂
