“Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob SquarePants! 🧽🍍💛” My favorite childhood show then, now and honestly… forever. 😂💙 So obviously I HAD to turn it into a candle. 🌊🕯️✨ And yes… this is a SpongeBob WATER CANDLE. 🫧🧽 💡 PRO TIP if you want to try a water candle: Don’t use completely cold water! 🥶 For this one, I used water at around 50–60°C (122–140°F). This makes the soy wax interact less with the water, so you get a cleaner, less “coral-like” effect. 👉 Want more of that coral / connected wax effect? Use cooler water. 👉 Want less connection between the wax and water? Use warmer water. BUT be careful with very hot water! 🔥 If you go up to around 70–80°C (158–176°F), the wax can take FOREVER to cool down because the water keeps transferring heat back into it.
