I live in Dolly's home town. We owe her SO much. She was just a good person. Graduates of her high school get scholarships. She just took over our local childrens hospital which is now Dolly Parton Children's Hospital. She has infused our economy. I work in Gatlinburg. I wouldnt have a job without her. she supported our queen's when our disgusting government decided to ban them. RIP.

We just recently lost funding for our Imagination Library here in Maine. My son is no longer receiving books after 5 years, but that's okay because we go to the library and that's really what she wanted. She wanted kids to read any way that they possibly could.

Dolly is proof that people can do and be good when they have wealth. I think that is a small part of why she was so loved, and why her passing is so devastating especially now. It's easy to fall into sadness when you don't see much good being done by those who can easily change so many lives.
