No seriously I don’t even like Black Widow but her movie is my favorite recent Marvel movie. I’m just a sucker for traumatized female characters forced to be assassins at a young age. That’s a surprisingly common archetype!

that's the thing tho, the story doesn't act like she needs to be redeemed, SHE thinks she needs to be redeemed, she feels guilty for what she was forced to do, that's why she didn't try to lift Thor's hammer, she believes she's not worthy even tho she probably was.
