The Inhibitor being Peter's "Ultron" is brilliant. Plus Jean being the Magneto stand in is also exciting. Especially if you've read Avengers V. X-Men(2012)

Definitely noticed Spider-Man’s penchant for trusting those in authority without question at the start of BND, and I loved the rude awakening of having to face that the supposed good guys aren’t so good. It’s part of growing up, he’s still young. And I love him being the one to open the door for the X-Men.

Yeah I agree. It feels like this isn’t even subtext it’s text. They paired him with frank castle for a reason, not just to mirror their loneliness and anger. It’s so weird to me to see people watch X-men 97 and say magneto was right when he tried to blow up the planet but say Jean was too mean for being a 17yo doing whatever she could to free her sister.

Was playing Insomniac Spider-Man 2 last night and Peter explicitly says “we don’t spy on people.” That Peter has a lot more experience, so it would be interesting to see MCU Peter start to confront the ethics of his surveillance practices

Damage Control is basically the new SHIELD and Peter had his Steve in Winter Soldier moment finding out that they were SHADY AF AND NOT TO BE TRUSTED. I think his arc is going to take him from pro surveillance Tony to Bring it all DOWN Steve.
