@fo_qalif: Hyperemesis was the hardest challenge I have ever faced. For nearly 20 weeks, my life became hospital visits, nurse visits, IVs, and trying to survive one day at a time. I spent my golden birthday and Abdallah’s birthday in the hospital. I couldn’t walk even short distances without feeling like I was going to faint. I experienced heart palpitations, extreme weakness, and vomiting so aggressively, 15+ times a day, that there were moments I genuinely felt hopeless. The isolation and loneliness were some of the hardest parts. The nights were horrible. Everyone was asleep, the world felt so quiet, and I was awake suffering and feeling completely alone. There were days I genuinely wondered if and how I was going to make it through. Without my village of women and my amazing husband, I honestly don’t know if I would have. Their love, support, patience, and presence carried me through some of the darkest moments of my life. One day, I’ll talk about the experience in much more detail, the weight loss, the fainting, the hospital stays, the fear, the loneliness, and everything that happened behind the scenes. But right now, I’m just grateful. Grateful that I made it through. Grateful for my strength. Grateful for my people. And most of all, grateful that after everything, I get to hold my baby Samra. 🤍 #hyperemesisgravidarum #hgawareness #hyperemesisgravidarum #firsttrimester #firsttimemom

It was the worst hyperemesis I’ve ever experienced. I was bed-bound for five months because I was constantly sick and vomiting. I could barely keep food or fluids down, and I felt extremely weak, exhausted, and drained. I spent most of those five months in bed, just trying to get through each day. It was honestly one of the hardest experiences I’ve ever been through, physically and emotionally. I’m so sorry you went through so much. I know exactly how you felt. But when you look at that beautiful little angel 👼, you can definitely say it was all worth it. Congratulations, sis! Motherhood is truly amazing

I remember in the quiet nights just crying and wondering when I will feel normal. I worked 12hours (floor nurse), just mentally being exhausted. Also I didn’t lose any weight, I forced myself to drink, that was my survival outlet
