I try to do something that I love to bring me peace, like gaming for example but if it's too intense, I just try to rest even sleep, by the way my body instantly forced me to sleep if I'm in a too high negative number of spoons!

this is my opinion but prioritize your self. take some time to recharge. find what brings you the most peace. do what works best for getting grounded. check out one of my videos on Mondays perfect moments with Ted. its something I have started doing that kind of helps me recharge and ground. if you would like I can share a couple with you that might give you some ideas to try.

Cut out everything but the absolute essentials. You have to eat, but you don’t have to make anything complicated. You have to bathe but you don’t have to do a whole skin care routine. You have to do laundry but you don’t have to be meticulous about folding and putting everything away. You can just hang things on hangers and pile your socks in a drawer. Find the shortcuts to make the necessities significantly easier

I actively try to find ways to use less spoons. I make a list of things that use up my spoons, from most spoons used to least. Then I try to find ways that I can balance it throughout the say/week/month. For example, I started only doing shopping for the house twice a month, and when I do, I try to get it delivered or be ready for me to pick up. I got food containers to meal prep for the week because I can't deal with cooking and washing dishes all the time (I only was dishes once a day). I make a plan of what I'll eat for two weeks or a month, this helps with shopping and prep. I noticed I needed some time after getting home from work so my dinners are always quick and ready. I dread going out so when I do I try to do everything. I made a list of things that are essential to spend spoons on daily/weekly/monthly and things that are just nice or socially necessary. I think making a list of what's exhausting you may help you try to find ways around it. That being said, unfortunately, I think it's a cycle and it's impossible to always be regulated as a neurodivergent person

If you have the luxury to rest and 💯 take a break from everything, I would recommend this.

Because I’ve unfortunately been through autistic burnout, I know what it costs to keep pushing past your limits. It’s a very, very dark place, and I’m never going back there. So what I do now is simple: everyone around me knows that I’m going to disappear for a while (minutes, hours or days) whenever I need to recharge — whether it’s during holidays, family gatherings, or quality time with friends. And when I do, I don’t explain or justify myself. I just do it, unapologetically. Everyone I choose to have in my life knows this and has accepted it. I’ve quietly shown the door to those who couldn’t. It was hard, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

I've been giving myself permission to skip one "required" thing (that won't ruin my life to skip) and replace it with something enjoyable and whimsical, even if it's as simple as a nice cup of tea. It hasn't fixed the problem, but it's helping me feel more stable at least.

What helps fill your spoons back up? playing video games, listening to music, quiet time? Maybe try to leave smaller task so you have more for bigger ones ? For the person in my life they need space and time with their self to get back some of those spoons. Always make sure to set boundaries with those close to you. Hope your spoons fill back up for you 💙

Still trying to figure that one out, as I'm in current burnout. I don't know how to pace myself when it comes to most things. My current goal is work specifically and learning how to pace myself through out the day. The question comes down to what could you regress on and be ok with regressing. The thing that has been helping me the most is stay home and not socialize or go out at all. Honestly, it brings me deep joy to be home alone with my Basset hound.

simplifying all my belongings & commitments to what's only necessary and brings me joy. human interactions only with the people that truly see me and replenish me. passive income streams, monetizing my guided meditations and educational content. moving to the countryside with my dogs. I'm hyperfocusing on creating a life I adore and hopefully help others like me too 🪷

Advice: hire people and delegate anything and everything you can. Hire a personal assistant, hire a housekeeper, hire a private chef, personal shopper, cleaner, etc etc… delegate everything and anything that feels overwhelming or difficult on a regular basis — that has been my saving grace. Having a team around you when you suffer from burnout or executive dysfunction is very important … and you can only set it up when you are doing well.. not when you are not…

The one thing that’s stopping me is my family. They actively choose to not understand my health problems and they make my life worse. Listening to boring stories that they are going to repeat to everyone else as well, simply drains the life out of me. I could still be functional and living if they’d simply helped me when I needed it and begged for it, instead I’ve been mostly bed bound for 2 years 😩 I wish I had any choice in where I lived and who I had to see
