Braided hair and rope are pretty distinguishable even from a distance/through a screen… for all the weird and confused folks in the comments. And considering that lynching as a form of violence/terror was so common in the US across the 19th and 20th century that there were various, shared postcards of the act and we are still to this day seeing this act committed/the emotional aftermath of this kind of violence… putting a piece of rope on a black houseguest’s bed is insensitive, to say the bottom of the barrel least.
