my go-to method is the War Horse melee from Honest Hearts with both of its weapon mods; i forget which one, but it increases it's attack speed, which also speeds up the held attack. Mix it with (I think slayer perk) and you're zoomin' everywhere (can also mix it with travel light for more speed. I've always been able to escape cazadors with this method)

When I was playing, I kinda just figured out if you time it right if you jump and stop right before you land and then quickly continue and jump again it sends you farther I believe
