For Howl's Moving Castle, I recommend it's sequels in the trilogy; Castle in the Air and House of Many Ways. Both of them include similar shenanigans and whimsical characters similar to what happens in the first book. And, yes, Howl and Sophie appear in the sequels.

I would also suggest Agnes Aubert's Mystical Cat Shelter by Heather Fawcett for Howl. the MMC is basically Howl in a different font.

don't forget the Howl's moving Castle is actually technically part of a trilogy as well. I actually read "Castle in the Air" first back when I was younger. and then the other one is "House of Many Ways". both are phenomenal. they have a little bit of a different feeling but if you enjoy Howl's moving Castle you'll enjoy both of those as well.

As a massive Howls Moving Castle fan I really didnt enjoy A Harvest of Hearts. The MMC in that book HAS NOTHING on Howl imo hahahahaha
