Leave at 2:50 & don’t bring grading or planning home. I used to when I first started & after year 4 or 5 I created the boundary. If I’m not getting paid I’m not working. Never fallen behind on grading. Just have to be less social during my planning periods lol

I cried through the first few years…no more…if it doesn’t get done at school it will have to wait..I give the kids a make up day or have them work on their skill based computer apps for a day

I get my planning done mainly during my school day hours and don’t worry about school till the next day. I also have pre-k so that means I have a planning and also their nap time to plan

It’s also 2 weeks during winter, 1 week in spring, 2 months in summer and guaranteed all other holidays and weekends off. Plus, contract says they can’t force me to work outside of my hours. Honestly? Not a bad gig as a professional adult career.
