Jopling, Willem Dafoe’s silent and menacing assassin in The Grand Budapest Hotel, costume designer Milena Canonero created a look that was impossible to miss. His striking black leather trench coat was produced by Prada and inspired by military dispatch-rider jackets. Canonero customized it with red-wool stitching and a concealed weapons compartment, pairing it with silver knuckles specially made for Dafoe’s character.
