I have Nipsco in Northern Indiana but in Mishawaka, Indiana. They spent money upgrading their meters on people’s houses that have caused massive over billing because it’s supposed to electronically report instead of having someone come out and manually read it. I declined the meter and they harassed me in person and via phone.

I’m trying to understand how this makes sense. In northwest Indiana, people went 13 days without power before service was finally restored. Yet during the February ice storm in Texas, power was restored in 4 days. How is it acceptable for people in one state to be left without electricity for three times as long? I understand that every disaster is different, but 13 days without power is a long time, and people deserve answers about why restoration took that long.

premi imagine complaining about the trees on the wires for 10 years. imagine you were me. yes me complaining to both nipsco and the city government about how dangerous the trees were, how close the power lines were, and how the power goes out constantly when the wind blows. THE INFRASTRUCTURE!!!
