No. Read Claremont. Dark Phoenix Saga. Days of Future Past. Asgardian Wars. Mutant Massacre. Inferno….if you can’t stand his writing style, then read the Whedon…it’s the perfect combination of the classic X-men soap opera elements with modern day dialogue. If you don’t really like X-men, but want some cool stories - read Morrison’s new X-men. Not sure why people like House of X/Power of X, but I only read the first trade.
