@juliebatchos: When a cat suddenly starts pooping outside the litter box, there’s usually a reason. 🐈 Finley’s person reached out after he began doing exactly that — and when I connected with him and asked what was going on, the word he gave me was “neglected.” But Finley isn’t neglected. Not even close. His brother has been dealing with physical challenges that require a lot of extra care, attention and cleanup. Finley has been watching all of it — and somewhere along the way, he seems to have made a connection between his brother’s accidents and the attention that follows. This wasn’t about being “bad” or spiteful. It felt like a sensitive animal trying to say, “I need to know I still matter, too.” 💛 We’re now supporting him energetically, giving him some extra intentional reassurance, and watching for patterns around when the behavior happens.
