@solidheaston: This is a GENERAL explanation. The main message I want to get across is that resting these kind of injuries is not gonna cut it. This is good news though because the strength of your tendons is fully in your control. Unfortunately it does take time especially if your injury is pretty far gone. If you catch an overuse injury just as it’s starting to develop you can return to your previous volume within 1-2 weeks as long as you keep up the strengthening exercises. I’ve had posterior shin splints, Achilles tendinitis, and jumpers knee in the past 3 months and they’re all gone now. A couple years ago it would have taken me 6+ months to full heal these and they’re would probably come back anyways. I also partially tore my pec tendon from learning how to box and then doing heavy benching. I applied the same principles. It was painful to bench 135lbs after injury, but within 3 months I benched 350lbs with no pain. Unfortunately I ended up tearing the muscle shortly after and now I’m doing the same process but a little slower this time. Lastly, I suggest watching Baki. Even though it’s an anime and highly unrealistic, it makes me feel like my body is capable of so much more. #gyminfluencer #fitnessinfluencer #natty #naturalbeast #isometrics
My knee got fucked just recently from I think leg extensions, I think it was the isolated extensions that did it. I’ll have to give this a try

Mostly doctors don’t prescribe load bearing/ straining regimens for strengthening ligaments cuz they’re scared of being liable if something does happen

do what Google says, it's align with current medical science. train the tendon/ligament after it's healed (it can actually be trained in injury state, BUT with correct weight. Basically, training is for enlarging the blood vessels to the target organ to give more nutrients to heal the injury)

This is lowkey going to sound dumb but it worked for me. I had 1 year of jumper knee and after doing all the google and youtube ways of treating all it took was coming out of a 6 year soccer retirement. I just got the urge to play again after the worldcup and overtime I realized I stopped having as much knee pain.

Curious Whats your opinion on medial meniscus bucket tear? Surgery scheduled, but I really think I can repair it myself. Training over 3 decades, I know how to heal my body.

I tore a ligament in my ankle and the fibula, and I had surgery to reattach it (and plate the bone) a month ago. Yesterday I got moved from a splint into a boot, and im now allowed to begin training the range of motion weight free. In two weeks, I get two screws out, and my doc wants me starting full rehab the moment they’re out.

Even though I agree with the no rest/isometrics, you're telling people to not google it... but you asked chatgpt lol be fr, people shouldn't look it up and "figure it out themselves", they should see a professional
