I’m a single mom of 2 and dating a childless man for 3 years post divorce. He was great with my kids but he just didn’t get what goes into having children. The exhaustion, the logistics, the “we can’t just eat dinner at 9pm”, the amount of crap you need to bring with you for kids. It ended up not working out for he and I. Kids weren’t the main problem but they were “an issue”

I decided the same for myself. My daughter is 16 and i’m not interested in starting over with someone else’s kids or parenting more children. I’d happily date a man with no kids or grown kids though. 😊

As a stepmom, that’s an insanely big ask. I have no children of my own and being a stepmom has been the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I came into this with an open heart. But if I had a time machine, I don’t know that I’d sign up for this type of a mom role again.

Be very cautious of getting into a relationship with a man with no kids who’s eager to play step dad . People have bad intentions and love going after single parents. There’s way too many stories where a step parent abùseş the children .

It’s a double standard for SUREEEEE but I feel the same way sis lol. I was a step mom once. Loved that baby with EVERYTHING in me, now I don’t have her anymore. She was mine too. I can’t do it again. The next man I end up will NOT have kids. Idc.

Being a step mom is wayyyy harder than being a step dad and that’s a hill I’m willing to die on… single moms already do everything theirselves just like they did in the initial relationship and don’t expect a new man to take on parenting roles single dads immediately find someone new to do all the heavy lifting for them and that’s the difference, good women leave bad men, good men don’t leave good women.

I’m in the same boat but I’m a dude. Like yes I want a meaningful relationship but what god damn right do I have to ask someone to help me raise four kids they didn’t create? Ima just stay single until they’re a bit older and not such a handful 24/7.
