@bethvirtually: Episode 3: The Moment My Dream Became Expensive 😅 Two weeks later… and I was STILL trying to figure this virtual assistant thing out on my own. I didn’t have money saved up somewhere so I used everything FREE I could find. Google. TikTok. YouTube. If somebody was talking about virtual assisting, I was watching. But the deeper I got, the more overwhelmed I became. How do I find clients? What services do I offer? How much do I charge? How do contracts work? Invoices? Payments? Onboarding?! Every answer somehow gave me five more questions. 😩 I started second-guessing myself. Maybe I couldn’t figure this out on my own. I remember thinking, “I just need somebody to show me the plays so I can hit the ground running.” And then… I found her. I was scrolling one day when I came across a virtual assistant coach. I started going through her content, and she was explaining EVERYTHING I had been struggling to piece together. Then I saw it. She had a program that walked you through becoming a VA from A to Z. Immediately, I thought: “THIS IS IT. This is exactly what I need.” I grabbed my laptop, went to her website, found the program… …and then I saw the price. $1,297. My heart DROPPED. 😭 What most people didnt know was during this time, I was financially tapped out. I was barely making rent and keeping my bills paid. So where in the WORLD was I supposed to find an extra $1,297?! For a second, it felt like I had finally found my answer… but couldn’t afford to reach it. Still, something in me refused to let it go. I stared at that screen and told myself: “I don’t know HOW I’m going to pay for this… but I AM getting inside that program. God will show me the way!” And that’s exactly what I set out to do!
