@jerrasgarden: Sometimes the best pest control is simply planting at the right time. Keeping a garden journal can help you notice when certain pests appear each year, so you can grow their favorite crops before or after peak pest season. In my garden, squash bugs usually show up around June and disappear by fall, so I grow squash and melons in early spring instead. Learning your garden’s pest patterns can make organic gardening so much easier—and turn difficult crops into much more manageable ones. #GardenJournal Find unique seeds & plants on my website. GDD (pest time of year and when you can look/treat for them) charts can often be found on your states department of agriculture site. if you cant find it MSU agriculture extension, Michigan department of Agriculture, and Michigan department or natural resources has some great resources and links where you can find info on your state or area.
