@itsthatlady.dev: Just when you think you’re on the right path, the universe has a funny way of telling you otherwise. “This is the right path, BUT is it the right path for YOU?” Don’t get me wrong, I loved working at GitHub. Teaching over 10 million developers about AI was incredibly rewarding. Fun. But so was making my own content on the side, and I knew if I stayed in corporate I’d be capping myself. If I stayed, I wouldn’t have been able to continue growing my business. Too many competitors between brands and the company. I also knew there were only so many raises, and that I could double my income and make money own terms. So I went out on my own. It wasn’t an easy decision. But it’s been completely worth it.
