After all the old men female mental and physical health experts, I have a new respect for my mom’s gen (she would be 90) they just didn’t have rights to work, equal pay, etc… literally these old dudes were once young dudes telling them that they were fine when they were self medicating like crazy.

Forget the fact that they didn’t have to bring this to trial in the first place, they should have known this was going to be a circus and the DAs office gets to decide who to take to court. They could have taken her “confession” and left her in a mental ward forever, and now they look like clowns.

I also thought maybe they also learned through this trial that she might have not done it and are purposely trying to get a mistrial but I know nothing about law 😂

Unfortunately, incompetence gets the job done for prosecutors every day in America. I do agree that the judgement and criticism wouldn’t be nearly as harsh if they were men— but that’s just bc we accept incompetence from men and hate women for existing.

alternate theory, their boss really doesn't like them for whatever reason, saw the case coming up, realized there was no way in hell anyone could possibly get a conviction out of the case because it's so obviously fucked, and threw them under the bus about it knowing it would be a shit show
