i’m not a diehard fan. too young to have grown up listening to her… just another girl who knew of dolly parton and her more well-known songs (9-5, i will always love you, jolene) but when i read the news that she had passed away? i cried. idk why. it’s a very rare thing for someone to cry over a person they barely even knew and watched through the screen or listened to on the radio. but i realized what it was that broke me about her passing; it was her spirit. she walked her life with so much love and purity, gracing the world with it. she was truly BEAUTIFUL inside and out. god had his hand over her, his light shinned thorough her so vibrantly… it made me sad knowing there won’t be another woman like her. in a way, it felt like losing an aunt, a mother… or a grandma. her love reached the hearts of many, even those who just so simply knew of her name. 💕

A woman saw me stressed out with my 3 kids, she stopped me and told me that when I felt overwhelmed to think of her...her biggest desire was to be a mom and she could never get pregnant, and till this day I think of her 🥺 you will be missed Dolly
