@boymeetsblank: dolly parton, who died tuesday at 80, locked a song in a box at dollywood that nobody can open until 2045. her own marketing team pitched it in 2015. write one song, seal it, nobody hears it for 30 years. they told her she'd be long dead by then. she said she'd be 99, and that she'd seen people live to be older than that. she spent years trying to get it back. in songteller she said it was like burying one of her kids. the box is still behind glass at the dreammore resort. her book and her website say it opens in 2045. the plaque on the case says january 19, 2046, her 100th birthday. nobody has figured out the two.
