@theoneleggedpsych: I chose to lose Fritz. I was ready to lose Fritz. And I still grieved him. We tend to think grief means we wish something hadn’t happened. But grief and relief can exist at the same time. You can know something is the right choice and still mourn what you’re leaving behind. Fritz caused me a hell of a lot of pain, but he was also part of my body and part of my story. He carried my babies while I grew them. My kids knew him, named him, tapped him to sleep, and eventually said goodbye to him too. I miss him sometimes. I don’t want him back. Both can be true. ❤️ #AmputeeLife #LimbLoss #Amputation #GriefAndLoss #fyp
