I’m curious about this “raising the bar” or “raising the standard”. If a Christian, then Christ is the standard. The bar gets no higher. If Christ is Lord of our lives, then all men and women have failed to meet set standard. Men certainly do need to look in the proverbial mirror and realize that they have missed that mark. Likewise, women will be accountable to their own lives and following Christ. A woman, who will stand before Christ, will not get to say “a man didn’t lead well” as an excuse. Especially single people. We need to be much more aware of our freedom in our singleness. Men need to understand what it means to not only be a Christian, but a man with integrity and pushing holiness.

FYI there are Christian men out there who are remaining sexually pure, but not interested in dating or marriage. So ya, you won't find us on dating apps. It's not a sin to remain single. If you want us to "Step up", then sell it. Why should I take on the responsibility and liability of marriage? What's the trade off for me? I'm content with being single.
