@mannyfigueroa4720: The situation aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln is deeply troubling, especially reports that sailors have faced shortages involving food, water, hot water, plumbing, and other basic necessities during an extraordinarily long deployment. Reports indicate that Iranian attacks on key U.S. logistics hubs in Bahrain disrupted the Navy’s normal supply routes, forcing supplies to travel much farther, while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has pushed back against reports describing the severity of the conditions. To me, that raises serious questions about leadership, planning, accountability, and whether the people making decisions in Washington truly understand what these sailors are experiencing at sea. Our service members deserve reliable food, clean water, proper living conditions, and leaders who are willing to acknowledge problems instead of minimizing them. I believe there should be a full, independent accounting of what happened, who knew about the shortages, and what was done to protect the crew.
