A massive search for a missing Oklahoma boy ended in his safe return, and loved ones hope there will now be accountability for his allegedly abusive parents. Ryan “RJ” Davis, 12, was reported missing from Chickasha, Oklahoma on Jan. 2, 2026,. Five days after RJ went missing, his mother, 33-year-old Kimberly Cole, and stepfather, 43-year-old George Cole Jr., were arrested on multiple felony charges including child abuse, child sexual abuse, neglect and conspiracy tied to the alleged mistreatment. The charges date back to 2020 and include more than one child in the household. Family says this was not the first time RJ went missing and although they tried to intervene, authorities continued to return RJ to his parents where he suffered a life of abuse. After more than a week alone, RJ was found safe on Jan. 11, 2026 in Caddo County by the United Cajun Navy. They say they found RJ hiding indoors, but couldn’t elaborate because this is an active investigation. Oklahoma state police spokesperson, Hunter McKee, said, “We can assure you RJ was found safe, and at this point, he will not go back to that property or to those parents.” Child services is working to place RJ in a safe environment. Meanwhile, the Caddo County District Attorneys Office confirmed that after appearing in court on Jan. 12, 2026, George Cole Jr. attempted to take his own life in the Caddo County Detention Center and is now hospitalized. Kimberly Cole remains in jail. #truecrime #missing
