Adding to the want to control, young people (myself included) that haven’t been fully hit in the face by life yet are still very optimistic about their future and the type of person they want to end up with and with that I think a lot of Gen Z has the mindset of ‘that person will come one day’ but aren’t putting themselves out there to meet ‘the one’ and are distracted by porn or other vices. But there are also the Gen Z who are just trying to not make the same mistakes their parents made, focusing on school and work instead of going through the process of ‘finding the one.’ well said though

Imho sex is still constant and the discourse is misapplied on economic factors. I reckon if you have enough capital to be authentic you aren’t bound by the expectations or even the template of desires.
