her sister announced that she was very sick and asked for prayers for her about a year ago. Dolly downplayed it and said she had kidney stones and that she was fine. I have to wonder if she found out she had cancer back then and was possibly given an estimate of the time she had left but she kept it secret.

She knew that her days were numbered because of cancer and prepared her farewell message to her fans and the world.
