RECIPE: candy corn brookies🧡🌽 candy corn…. you either love it or you hate it! this controversial candy adds the perfect festive element to my classic brookies. this was another big hit in the college cooking series… these brookies got very positive reviews! . BROWNIE BATTER: 10 tbsp unsalted butter 1/2 cup chocolate chips 1 cup sugar Splash vanilla extract 2 eggs 1/4 cup cocoa powder Pinch salt 3/4 cup all purpose flour COOKIE DOUGH: 6 tbsp unsalted butter, softened 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup white sugar Splash vanilla 1 egg 1/4 tsp baking soda 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup + 1 tbsp all purpose flour 3/4 cup chocolate chips 3/4 cup candy corn (set aside ~ 1/2 for topping the brookies) . Preheat your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Line and 8x8 square pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy release of the brookies after baking. In a medium bowl add the butter and chocolate chips and melt until smooth. Whisk in the sugar. Mix in the eggs one at a time. Fold in the cocoa powder, flour, and salt. For the cookie dough, in a medium bowl cream together the butter and sugars. Add vanilla and egg. Mix in the baking soda, salt, and flour. Fold in about half the candy corn using a rubber spatula. Add alternating scoops of the brownie batter and cookie dough to the prepared pan. Bake for about 25-28 mins or until the brownie is just baked through and the cookie is golden brown (if the surface begins to darken too much and the middle needs more time, cover the pan with tin foil and continue baking). Once they cool, release brookies from the pan, slice into squares, and enjoy! #cookies #brownies #candycorn #brookies
