Tbh, if I had to pick a treatment for clients to safely perform on themselves at home, I’d say microneedling is the safer option, vs chemical peels! That does NOT mean microneedling requires zero education or comes with zero risk! You still need to understand proper sanitation, needle depth, areas you should/shouldn’t treat, contraindications, aftercare, etc. But chemical peels have a lot more variables than people realize.. Acid type, %, pH, formulation, layering, contact time, skin type, skin tone, existing irritation, what else you’re using on your skin, etc. A “30% peel” tells me very little without knowing the rest of the formulation and that isn’t something AI can help ya with 😉 And since people are going to do things at home regardless of what the internet tells them lmao I’d rather talk about reducing risk than pretend nobody is going to do it! And just another hot take.. I don’t think @drpenofficial is a shitty device just because it’s affordable 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’ve worked with expensive/name-brand microneedling devices in a med spa setting on myself, and have now personally used Dr. Pen at home and I saw zero difference in performance/results. I can’t speak to estheticians using it on clients, but I’d be willing to bet y’all can get your clients amazing results with Dr.Pen as well, but that’s a video for another day 🫣 More expensive ≠ automatically better More affordable ≠ automatically bad Same reason I don’t believe you need a HydraFacial to get great results. I used HF before and I now use @Zemits.official in my treatment room and get fantastic results! Education + technique + appropriate use matter a whole lot more to me than the logo on the machine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ **I do not perform microneedling on clients.
