@the.guidebook: The Leadville 100 is a truly magical race. It is incredibly difficult and pushes you to your absolute limits, but it brings out the very best in everyone involved. I feel so honored to have toed the line with each and every runner out there and I hope everyone gets the chance to experience this race someday. I ran a great race and actually stayed a little ahead of my planned pace until Pipeline Inbound where the pain in my right ankle stopped me from being able to run anymore. By this point I also couldn’t consume any fuel or water without it coming right back out 💩 By Turquoise Lake Dam the pain was excruciating and I limped in the last 16 miles in more pain than I’ve ever experienced. I was also falling asleep standing up so I tried to take quick 5 minute naps a few times on the side of the trail. At no point did I ever consider quitting, but at times I did not know how I was going to get across that finish line. In the end it was my incredible crew that kept me moving and I couldn’t have done it without them. #Leadville100 #Leadville100Ultramarathon #Ultrarunning #Ultramarathon #ColoradoRunning
