From ARP and DNS to HTTP, TLS, and SMB, it reveals everything—if you know how to look. 🧠 What I Learned from Sniffing Traffic 1️⃣ Everything Talks—Loudly * Devices constantly chatter on the network. * Even idle hosts send periodic traffic (DHCP, ARP, etc.). * Misconfigured devices can unintentionally expose information. 2️⃣ Cleartext Protocols Are Goldmines * Capturing credentials from unencrypted logins (e.g., FTP, Telnet, HTTP) is shockingly easy. * Saw form submissions with usernames/passwords in plaintext. * Lesson: Always encrypt traffic.
