@chelsinbloom: It’s no wonder this is all you can see on your fyp. The enemy has done his job of desensitizing us to abortion and the murder of children in the womb—but apparently, it’s never enough. Now we’re seeing people bully and harm their own children for social media attention and glorify postpartum mental breakdowns, leaving the world increasingly inundated with messages of baby and child hatred. As a mom who has now gone through postpartum four times, I can tell you: postpartum is not a walk in the park. It can be exhausting, overwhelming, emotional, and incredibly hard. But my baby is not the problem. My baby is not the reason life is hard. And I refuse to let anyone convince mothers that their babies make their lives worse. My babies have made my life better. They have made it more beautiful, more meaningful, and more full of love. We need to be honest about the difficulties of motherhood without turning our children into the enemy. We can acknowledge that postpartum is hard while still celebrating the incredible gift that our children are. Ask the Lord for help. And if all else fails, put the baby safely in their bassinet and take a long, hot shower. It does get easier. And if you are going through a hard time in postpartum, for the love of everything good, turn off the camera. Don’t film it. #postpartum #metoo #lindsayclancy
