the tell i look for with any kind of astroturfing like this is when someone sounds way too confident when making statements of opinion or evaluating something. if the message is planted they'll usually use a flippant confident tone like you hear in commercials. when most normal people state a real opinion their tone leaves some room for feedback, response or doubt. in a real conversations there's always going to be someone who will argue even if they're clearly wrong. in the astroturf world that's not considered and it sounds different.
