Please like, comment, and SHARE! 🙏 🔍 Episode Overview: On March 31, 2023, at 5:36 p.m., Shrewsbury Patrolman Randy Boehler spotted a white 2022 Mercedes SUV weaving near Broad Street and Meadow Drive. He flipped on his emergency lights. The driver pulled over on Sycamore Avenue by Broad Street. He approached her. She was Marissa Haugh. While talking to Marissa, Boehler smelled alcohol. He saw signs of impairment too. She handed over her papers. Patrolman Tyler Fox showed up to help. Marissa said she came from Red Bank. She denied any drinks that day. Officers asked her out of the car for sobriety tests. Fox began with the Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus test. He noted no smooth pursuit. Nystagmus jerked at max deviation and started before 45 degrees. Vertical nystagmus appeared too. Next came Walk and Turn. Marissa missed heel-to-toe touches. She took wrong steps. Her turn was off. Last was One Leg Stand. She didn't lift her foot right. She dropped it too soon. The alcohol smell and failed tests led to arrest for DUI. Marissa warned them. She said her dad, a former exec at Monmouth Medical Center, would make them regret it. Fox took her to the station. Boehler waited for the tow truck. At headquarters, officers read her the standard statement. She refused breath tests. After processing, a sober adult took her home. She signed the liability form. Citations hit her like this: Driving under influence (39:4-50) Refusal of chemical test (39:4-50.4A) Reckless driving (39:4-96) Careless driving (39:4-97) Failure to keep lane (39:4-88A) No documents shown (39:3-29) Court records show the DUI charge dropped on July 16, 2025. She pled guilty to refusal. The lane violation became obstructing traffic (39:4-67). Penalties: ignition interlock for 7 months. 12 hours at drunk driver class. $630 in fines. Other tickets vanished in the deal. Marissa faced DWI arrest again in Oceanport on January 22, 2024.
