@katierockiowa: Last year I submitted a bunch of small quilts at the Iowa State Fair and took home a few ribbons. Several of these are projects I’d been tinkering with for years and finished between COVID and 2025. 1 - 3rd place crib quilt mixed technique with piecing and appliqué, pattern from American Patchwork & Quilting magazine 2 - modern wall hanging (did not place), improvised pattern by me 3 - 2nd place mini quilt, pattern by Lori Smith 4 - panel wall hanging (did not place), improvised 5 - 2nd place applique wall hanging, pattern by Carolyn Friedlander All pieces long-armed by my sister. 🫶 #iowastatefair #quiltersoftiktok #quilt #quilting 📍 Fair location: Iowa State Fairgrounds 📅 Date of fair: August 2025 🧵 Quilting techniques: piecing, appliqué, machine quilting, improvisation
