Yeah this is incorrect. I worked for a CPAP company and the patient could either make payments until it was paid off, (usually 12 months or so) or insurance would take care of it all. The machines are like $1500-$3k tops. They’re robbing you.

I have cerebral palsy and for me to get a tens unit for chronic pain through a medical company cost $1,200… you can buy them for $25 on Amazon. I can’t stand how disabled people are basically financially punished for something that is out of our control.

I'd check any and all paperwork that you signed when getting fitted and picking up this machine. I had a CPAP last year through a home care vendor and yes there was a rental period, where I would pay a predetermined amount for 10 months and then I owned the machine. Paying forever seems incorrect...

as a pharmacy tech & someone who works closely with insurance . We are front line, underpaid people who are oftenly in the same boat and receive the backlash and abuse from the patients who endure the horrible healthcare industry . The higher ups are cowards & and will do anything to make themselves richer
