Completely agree, mental health should not be practiced through a screen

Telehealth good for stable Telehealth bad for uncontrolled symptoms and severe crisis; providers know this. They failed her.

Telehealth allows people who otherwise wouldn’t have a chance to get treatment (because they work, they’re disabled and cannot easily travel, people are more comfortable in their home settings) to get treatment. seems like it’s just older folks who hate this.

Massachusetts relaxed Covid restrictions May 12 2023 . Very late in comparison to the rest of the country. Masking was still in place 3 years after COVID . Liberal state stupid leaders. Our hospital in the south stopped masking a year into COVID 👩🏻⚕️

I was a psychiatric nurse. Someone like Lindsey would have to be admitted to hospital and monitored and assessed by a team of nurses and doctors. Medication effectiveness would be evaluated and reevaluated

Sometimes it is all someone is willing to do. Telehealth increases access to care. No it isnt ideal. But it is better than nothing

Telehealth provides many benefits for individuals that have barriers with transportation, physical and chronic illness, sesory (comfort of your own home). There should be more training for providers as it is very different and telehealth is not the best fit for everyone or even some clinicians. I do not reccomend high needs clients, severe ADHD/ADD, or cognitive delays for Telehealth.

I was diagnosed with bipolar I in 2021 over zoom after experiencing psychosis. I’ve been treated since then online. The difference between her and I is that my husband took it serious where hers was busy going to guy’s night and brunch.

I disagree, it gave access. The problem is literally still doctors misdiagnosed. The connection is important, but listening to patients regardless of the format is important.

Zoom care has to stop, most doctors on zoom have permanently stationed at home, working comfortably from their kitchen or living room, that it’s not fair for patients. There is a huge disconnection affecting patients.

I am a telehealth therapist. I also see people in person, and I’m have been able to identify when somebody was psychotic to Telehealth. They didn’t have good relationships. It still comes down to the relationship and how much you know about the person.

Its the only way a large group people make it into therapy, it opens doors that weren't previously open. lack of credible care happens face to face on the daily, and her receiving negligent care absolutely would have happened previously 2019, its been a trend in health care for a bit, a lacking of doctors who don't dismiss or project on to their patients. If anything it's just another example.

I hate driving over 30 minutes for a 15 min med refill for a psych appt….. so zoom optimizes my time.

Disagree. I had PPP twice and Graves’ disease and I went to my dr and specialist appointment for over a decade at least 2 appointments a month and I was still disregarded, turned away, or misdiagnosed. The majority of doctors do not investigate or take ppl seriously

As an LMHC, if my clients have any SI, self harm it’s in person, zero exceptions. If they have moderate-severe depression in person. I will make some exceptions due to circumstances on occasion but again if you’re depressed staying in the house is not good for your mental health either, so you are coming into my office. I’m old school and not a huge fan of telehealth. I’ll do it for very few people. If people want telehealth there are other therapists who will accommodate.

If it wasn't for telehealth I wouldn't have been able to get help ✌ as a mom it's hard for us because doctor offices don't have daycare spaces so ... we often don't have anyone that can help us with our kids when we need an appointment- zoom / telehealth can save lives please don't paint it in a bad light

I agree that she should have been seen more in person, but I have to say that I have a great connection with my therapist who I've only ever met with on zoom. It's possible, and in some cases it's helpful. But I do agree it's not ideal in most cases, and *especially* in severe cases.
