Theo was 16, his birthday was August 3rd, his favorite color was dark green but more like a forest green, his favorite music artist is the neighbourhood and his favorite song is softcore, his favorite drink was redbull specifically the blue edition all the others he hated, he’s cabin 9 but related to cabin 13 the most. My best friend who went by "icy", in 2022 we became best friends on discord. We talked everyday, we both had very bad mental health. And we agreed to help eachother through it. A year later, i got a text from his account, reading "im so sorry" out of the blue. I got confused, i called him around 27 times. He never responded. Hours later i got a phone call from my actual number because i gave icy my number but it was way more fun texting on discord than it was on messages. It was icys parents, they told me "(deadname since his parents didnt know he was trans and also went by a different name) died. he killed him self." they also told me they were calling all of his friends about this too. His parents then called me again minutes or maybe hours later, stating that he had liked me the whole time, he would write in a notebook about me and even add the date to the page. Icy has been dead for 3 and a half years now. I miss him so much, he was my best friend. I had liked him too.

My best friend told me she was going to OD with 40 different pills. When she texted me saying she loved me I knew it was all out of my control no matter what I did so I called the cops then her parents. Her heart had stopped in her room, the paramedics had to save her right there. She made it out alive but with the condition she will never speak to me. She hates my guts for calling the cops and everyone but what is a teenage girl supposed to do in that moment. Im glad she hates me and is still breathing bc her alive is greater than the feeling of her hating me. If any of your friends try to commit you call the police because realistically there isn’t anything else you can do

i knew someone in highschool who was 2 years older than me, we skipped class together a few times and sang in the same choir section. she passed away a few days after i graduated highschool, she was 20. im 25 now and on quiet nights i find myself wondering what her life would look like today. it was weird to get older than her.

As someone who has been the attemptee and as someone who’s lost people due to committing, please trust that you made your friends life a much better place even if they aren’t here anymore. Sometimes there’s just nothing you can do, and that sucks and it’s unfortunate, but people have to choose to save themselves first before attempts at saving them from others truly work. I hope you don’t blame yourself because it wasn’t your job to save them, it was your job to be their friend and love them, and seeing how much you loved them, it’s obvious that you did that job spectacularly. Please give yourself some grace and I hope things go well for you stranger
