That I would do especially since you didn’t pay for the flight. Just check a aerolopa seat map if you like a window seat. My experience with that specific flight is that the plane they use row 22 in PE has no windows.

Premium select could be fun if you want a little special treat since you didn’t pay for the ticket itself. But anything under 6-7 hours in my opinion is not worth hundreds for an upgrade
